I swear I’m going to be her one day
I took a 7 week coast to coast road trip after being laid off from Boeing. I didn’t have a camper but realized that being able to pull off the road at a rest or truck stop was the way to go to make the trip affordable. With a few sheets of 1/2” plywood and misc. hardware this is what I came up with. The effort was well worth the time and materials.
Well this is everything I could ever possibly want.

This is what my holidays looked like as a kid. We’d always rent a place on the Gulf Coast- the most quiet, empty places we could find. No tourist shops, no fancy restaurants, no people trying to sell you anything on the beaches. Just miles of sand. My parents had what was probably and unhealthy amount of trust in my siblings and I. We’d wake up early and go out to the beach alone, dig forts in the sand, fish, walk for miles to collect shells, race each other out to the sandbar, dare each other out farther and farther into the surf.
Looking at this is making my body ache. I want it so badly.
